I wanted to add a quick note on an article that describes, through the voice and views of prolific educational scholars, how they managed to get to that level. Drawing on their tacit knowledge, the authors reduce the scholars’ insights to managing their time, focusing/prioritizing their research agenda, setting clear values, being persistent in tedious work, managing emotions in academia, and coping with pressures, peer review critiques, and politics. They also formed support for themselves through networks.
